About Me
My name is Debbie and I'm married to Robert, my husband of 17 years, the only man who could ever put up with me so willingly despite all my flaws and still love me after all these years. For 20+ years I worked in the information technology field, that is until 2003 when I retired from corporate America and started my own graphic design business. It is one of the best decisions I ever made for me and my family and I've never looked back.
Family
Robert and I have 4 fantastic kids, Tiffani (27 - also married to Chris), Brandon (25), Christina (23), Kevin (15), and Aria our 3-year old granddaughter. Lets not forget about the two unforgettable girls, the affectionate black cats and my constant companions, Jada and Halle.
Work
I own and operate my own business as a freelance graphic designer. It is a job I am passionate about because I love creating, having a flexible work schedule, never waking to an alarm clock, and the option to wear my PJ's to the office where my cats are always welcome to join me.
Hobbies
There are lots of hobbies I enjoy but photography would top the list followed closely by gardening. A few others would be interior decorating, reading, running, biking, traveling, hiking, bird watching, playing cards, writing and researching all kinds of topics...usually on the internet. Gardening, house keeping, and writing are modes of meditation and self-reflection for me. They give me time to think, refocus, and count my blessings.
Creative Inspiration
People ask what inspires me when I create art. I find inspiration from any and all things related to nature. It provides an endless supply of ideas. I also enjoy viewing others artwork and appreciate the detail and effort that comes from creating something out of nothing. It is also not unusual to find me reading a multitude of decorating magazines or reference manuals searching for new ideas.
Tools of the Trade
I own a Nikon D80 DSLR camera with a multitude of lenses, although the AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens tops my list followed closely by my macro lens, the AF-S Micro Nikkor 105mm which I use almost exclusively for flower closeups. I also carry a Sony point & shoot camera in my purse for those times when I want to travel light.

When creating artwork on the computer, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and my Wacom tablet are my tools of choice. Of course a quality sketch pad and pencil is always close at hand for those moments when I create art the good old fashioned way.
Art for Sale
I am frequently asked if my art and photography are for sell, and the answer is yes. If you are interested in purchasing photographic prints or graphic design artwork, please email me for further details.
